Granny Smith is a pony from the land of Equestria. She is the paternal grandmother of Big McIntosh, Applejack and Apple Bloom, and the elderly matriarch of the Apple family.

When the Insecticons began devouring Sweet Apple Acres, Discord summoned Granny Smith and the rest of the Apple Family to help Applejack defend the farm. During the battle, Granny and Apple Strudel managed to knock out Ransack after their kin wrangled him out of the sky.
