Just as Cybertron seemed lost to the interdimensional incursion of the Fallen, the Trainbots, the Liner Team, and the Train Team arrived aboard Metroplex and bound the dark god with the Trainbot Omni-Car Joint. This gave their old comrade Shouki and his companions the opportunity they needed to pool their energies and defeat the Fallen using Shouki's new "Raiden" cannon mode. Train Wars 2

- As part of the Headmasters line, the Trainbots were only available in Japan. They were available in either separate boxes or as a large Raiden multi-pack. Like the Constructicons, the Trainbots were based on Diaclone molds, which were modified to add locations for rubsigns. Additionally, Suiken and Seizan's spring-loaded launch mechanisms have been neutered, with the launch posts shortened to standard 5 mm pegs. Kaen's mold was altered to remove access to the the Diaclone driver cockpit. They do not have fully interchangeable limbs when combining into Raiden like the Scramble City-style combiners, but Suiken and Seizan are interchangeable as arms, as are Getsuei and Yukikaze as legs.

- Sixliner (Micromaster Sixteam, 1991)
- ID number: C-370
- Sold only as a complete set, Sixliner is composed of six Micromaster trains who attach to various pieces of combiner kibble to form a robot. These kibble pieces form three weapons/vehicles when the team is separated: the Giga-Techvolt cannon, the Gripper probe, and the Wingard booster. He has limited compatibility with the other six-team combiners, really only able to swap out arm and "back" components with the "kibble-jet" types thanks to the connecting methods used for the chest and legs.
- This mold-set was retooled to make Sixtrain and Universe Rail Racer.
- Sixtrain (Micromaster 6-Team, 1992)
- ID number: TF-05
- Sixtrain is a retool of the Return of Convoy combiner Sixliner, made up of six train Micromasters that combine via attaching to robot-mode kibble. When separated, this kibble becomes three different weapons; the legs can mount on San D-Go or Atlan's vehicle modes as a large roof-mounted cannon/thruster, the torso can connect to either footplate to form a twin blaster car pulled by any member of the team, and the gun, fists, and head all combine with the other footplate to form a weapons trailer. Sixtrain has limited compatibility with the "jet-kibble" style of Micromaster Combiner, really only able to swap out his arm or "back" components with others.
Notes
- Obviously, this is not a combination you can achieve with the actual toys. While the Trainbot toys came with some "joint parts" plastic clips you used to attach the train modes together into a six-part train, these clips don't work with the Micromasters. Also, the Micromasters are only designed to form back-to-back pairings in train mode rather than long trains.
- Of note, the three members ofTeam Shinkansen are particularly absent from this group, given that they are G1 World characters in Japanese continuity. As they are not natives to the time-period in which this group was formed, they would not have been around at the time to partake in its formation.
