UFG Junior

UFG Junior was a French company of cartoon distribution. They released a lot of cartoons of French origin like Marcelino, Milo, Marsupilami, but also some American titles including Felix the Cat, Arthur, My Little Pony and The Care Bears.

The company presumably no longer exists as we have no more news since 2011 and no information can be found about it on the Internet.

The DVDs usually include the European French dub, but as with the Déclic Images collection, some episodes have the Canadian French dub instead.

Contains the episodes Dinobot Island, Part 2, Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2 and Kremzeek!.

Contains the episodes Auto Berserk, The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1 and The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2.

• Transformers — Le Fantôme dans la Machine (2007)

Contains the episodes War Dawn, Surprise Party and Ghost in the Machine (the latter with the Canadian French dub).

• Transformers — Le Journal des Quintessons (2007)

Contains the episodes Auto-Bop, The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1 and The Quintesson Journal (the latter with the Canadian French dub).

Notes

• The DVDs were also published in boxes, sometimes as one "starter" box with 3 DVDs, sometimes with 3 boxes (instead of 4) with 2 DVDs. Confusing!
• No need to specify that the order of the episodes is totally random.
• A lot of episodes are missing from this edition. The total count of episodes is 24 instead of 98. The majority of them can be found by buying the DVDs from the other home release made by Déclic Images, which is much more complete but also lacks some episodes. Between the complete two editions, there are still 15 episodes missing.
• Some episodes are present on both the UFG Junior collection and the Déclic Images collection.
  • Regarding the episode "The Ultimate Doom, part 2", the Déclic Images version overlaid the tracks with music and sound effects twice, making many phrases inaudible throughout the episode. The UFG Junior version of the episode does not have this problem.
  • For the episode "A Prime Problem" in the Déclic Images collection, the sound of the episode gradually shifts as it plays, leading to several seconds of lag in the final scenes. The UFG Junior version of the episode does not have this problem. Two points for UFG!
• As in the Déclic Images collection, the episode summaries on the boxes randomly use both the English/European French names and the Canadian French names of the characters.
• The artwork for the DVD covers was made by French illustrator Éric Tranchefeux.
• In the DVD menu, dialogue between Optimus Prime and Teletraan I from the opening scene of the Attack of the Autobots can be heard.
