- Unlike its predecessors, the 1992 annual contains only two story lines and no quizzes or puzzles.
- The Earthforce Saga is a color reprint of black and white stories that originally ran in the main comic.
- Another Time & Place is set millennia in the future, evidently serving to bridge the gap between G1 and G2 (Prime recalls Grimlock's discovery of reversing the Nucleon process years ago, and speaks of "A new, more powerful breed of Decepticons" gathering). However the death of Bludgeon and partial-resurrection quickly followed by ultimate end to Megatron on Hydrus-4 makes it incompatible with the G2 comic.
- Catilla, Snarler, Needlenose and Spinister all die in the Earthforce Saga. Carnivac joins the Autobots, sort of.
- Skids gets to say a line, yet still fails to achieve anything.
