Transform and Roll Out
Optimus Prime and his small crew of maintenance Autobots come into possession of the All Spark. This powerful Cybertronian artifact attracts the attention of the Autobots' long-forgotten enemies, the Decepticons, and sends them all crashing toward a strange, distant planet known as . . . Earth.
Detailed synopsis
The show begins when Optimus Prime watches some G1 videos and Ratchet says they are junk and that the others need help. Prime wanders if they were desighned for more than repairing space bridges. As the two 'Bots transform into their cool vehicle modes, Bulkhead tells Bumblebee he's afraid of hights and he's about to "blow a gasket" (hint:throw up). As the robots and Prowl (who nearly hit Optimus with his ninja star) clear rubble, they find the Allspark, only to realize the Decepticons are after them. They try to get away, but Megatron gets in, minus one arm, which was blown off by Starscream's bomb. The Autobots, minus Megatron, crash onto earth and go into stasis. Isaac Sumdac finds Megatron as a young man and makes Detroit a city of robots using Megatron's unconcious body for power. Fifty years later, Detroit is absolutely filled with robots thanks to Isaac, who's daughter comes along trying to take her security key back. She says hi, then is dragged off by tour bots. One of Sumdac's experiments go wrong, releasing a giant bug into the city. At the bottom of Lake Erie, the Autobots wake up and scan the following, Optimus: fire truck, Bulkhead: S.W.A.T van, Bumblebee: police cheif's car, Prowl: police motorcycle, and Ratchet: ambulance, and go to help against the bug, except for Ratchet, who anylized the bug. Prowl is wounded in battle and 'Bee takes Sari to the Ark with them. Sari finds the Allspark, who makes her security key a special key. She heals Prowl with it and the Autobots become heroes. After several rescues, the 'Bots are attacked by Starscream, who captures Sari's dad, the mayor, Captain Fanzone, and Bumblebee. Sari fixes Bumblebee after having Starscream distracted and finally the Allspark is safe from the long-chinned Decepticon, but Prime is already dead, but almost immediatly revived by Sari.

Transformers references

- Footage from the G1 cartoon series is used as history tapes detailing the events of the first Great War, millions of years prior. R BE CANON?
- Sari's robotic dog Sparkplug is likely named after either Sparkplug Witwicky from G1, the Armada Mini-Con Sparkplug, or both.
- Characters resembling Spike Witwicky, Carly, and Daniel Witwicky are seen at a hot dog stand, purchasing some sort of futuristic bunless wieners-on-a-stick.
- The Animated Autobots are not the first to use a starship parked at the bottom of one of the Great Lakes as their headquarters.
Miscellaneous trivia
- A refurbished Michigan Central Station makes an appearance as the site for the dedication of Detroit's rapid transit system. The real-life station (abandoned for decades) was featured in the 2007 live-action movie.
