Part of the Insecticon battle squad, Venom was sent with the others to liberate Starscream from the innards of Gold City. Engaging several guards and taking on Wideload himself, Venom took a moment to express that he had missed working with his brethren, sharing a high five with Skrapnel. Immediately after this, the team encountered Goldbug and was decimated by the warlord. Venom would be the last to fall; pummeled and grievously wounded, he remarked that at least the team was able to die together before being crushed under Goldbug's heel. Shattered Glass #4

Notes

• Interestingly, Venom was not named "Venin" in the comic per modern Hasbro trademarks though his team leader Skrapnel was.

• Venom's color scheme appears to be the inverse of the colors of his positive-universe counterpart. Specifically, the orange parts of the G1 version of Venom are now a shade of dark blue, his orangish-red visor is now more of a greenish-blue, and the green parts are now a shade of purple.
