Finally, he looks as friendly as he is in real life.

David Möller (also known as "Bald German Guy") is a former employee of Hasbro's German division who was, among other things, responsible for marketing the company's boys' brands, which included the Transformers brand.

After graduating from Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt with a diploma in business economics in 2008, he started working as a PR consultant for a company named conjoin communication, then moved on to German board games publisher Amigo, before he landed his first job at Hasbro in 2012. Starting as a brand manager, he was promoted to senior brand manager in 2015, and then to marketing manager for the company's boys and Disney franchise brands a year later. In 2019, he switched to the distribution department and became channel sales manager. After ten years with Hasbro, he left the company in 2022 to work as head of consumer centric relationship management for a company named CoVaPo.

During his time with Hasbro, he represented the company at several occasions, most notably a panel at Dortmund Comic-Con in December of 2019[1] where he presented, among other things, wave 9 of the Studio Series Deluxe Class, featuring Offroad Bumblebee, Roadbuster and the jet mode version of Shatter. Unfortunately, those figures had already been revealed the night prior, thanks to Diamond Comic Distributors/Previews World not understanding international times zones.

Notes

Blocking reveals since 2015.
  • Though hardly anybody knew about his identity by that time, Möller became the center of numerous fandom memes in 2015, when he happened to end up in a photo taken at Nuremberg Toy Fair that almost gave the Transformers fandom its first look at the Combiner Wars Titan Class Devastator figure. Möller, seen from the back, ended up partially obscuring the figure, which infuriated a lot of fans while amusing others, quickly earning him the nickname "Bald German Guy" (among other, less flattering names). He's still occasionally referenced in fan discussions, which occasionally (half-jokingly) speculate which new figures he might end up obscuring at the next Nuremberg Toy Fair. His identity as David Möller was finally revealed in 2019, when he attended Dortmund Comic-Con.
  • Since 1993, Möller has been involved with a non-profit association for the integration of disabled people. As of 2023, he's a member of the organisation's managing committee.[2]
