The name or term "Storm Jet" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Storm Jet (disambiguation).
Storm Jet is an Autobot Aerialbot from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2003 Universe toyline).
Not a jet, and avoids launching during storms.

Storm Jet is a member of the Micromaster Aerialbots, who combine into Superion.

Fiction

Ask Vector Prime

In Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta (a highly Primax-influenced universe), the Micromaster Aerialbots were born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. Superion, Defensor, and Rail Racer fought Devastator in the Combiner Wars during the Unicron Singularity crisis. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/31

Toys

Universe (2003)

  • Storm Jet (Micromaster Aerialbot, 2007)
    • Accessories: Superion right fist, rifle
Storm Jet is a redeco of the Sixwing component Raker, transforming into a Space Shuttle. He forms the right arm of the Aerialbots' combined mode Superion.
Though the Micromaster Aerialbots were apparently originally slated as KB Toys exclusives, they barely showed up in the ever-shrinking chain. Later, they began showing up in other chains like CVS drug stores and Big Lots!.
The toy's larger connector socket is approximately 5mm wide, making Storm Jet compatible with Powerlinx ports.

Cybertron

  • Storm Jet (Micromaster Aerialbot, 2007)
Storm Jet was released at general retail in some European markets under the Cybertron line. Besides the altered packaging, there are no changes to the toy itself.

Notes

  • The presence of "Storm Jet" in a team almost entirely recycling Generation 1 Aerialbot names suggests that "Storm Jet" was chosen as a trademark-friendly replacement for "Slingshot", though Storm Jet's alternate mode is different.
