Pokeformers

Pokeformers is a derogatory term often used by members of the Transformers fandom that weren't particularly fond of the Armada toyline or its accompanying fiction to refer to the series.

The term is a composite of the terms "Pokémon" and "Transformers" and refers to the fact that the premise of the series (and the incentive for selling the toyline) was to collect as many Mini-Cons as possible, very similar to Pokémon's "Gotta catch them all!" marketing campaign. Fans using the term "Pokeformers" were very critical of this concept, as they considered it a rip-off of a concept they weren't particularly fond of to begin with.
