The name or term "Drench" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Drench (disambiguation).
Drench is a Decepticon from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2003 Universe toyline).
Don't you look familiar...

Drench was once an Autobot but he defected to the Decepticons. He has a rivalry with Smokescreen.

Fiction

In Aurex 606.0 Kappa, Landslide, Drench, and Wind Sheer fought Red Alert, Longarm, Smokescreen, and Jolt in the Quest for Cybertron before being driven off. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/14

Toys

Universe (2003)

  • Smokescreen with Jolt vs. Drench with Wind Sheer (Battle in a Box, 2004?)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
Drench was part of an ultimately unreleased Universe Battle in a Box set with Smokescreen. In 2004, several test-shots appeared on eBay in a group, among them a redeco of the Armada Wheeljack toy in Generation 2 Drench-like coloration. When his Mini-Con is attached to his active rooftop Powerlinx port, both doors either side of the vehicle mode open up like wings, which also give access to the triggers for his door-mounted missile launchers. In robot mode, these missiles can be held in his hands as melee weapons. Unusually, his right wrist features a swivel joint while his left wrist is immobile.
He would have come with a Mini-Con partner using the gang-molded Wind Sheer mold, likely also called "Wind Sheer" if the previous Battle in a Box Mini-Cons are any indication. Though tentatively a Target store exclusive (according to Hasbro representatives at OTFCC 2004 and a checklist later posted on Hasbro's public website which included several unreleased toys), alas, the set was ultimately canceled.

Notes

I used to be a more interesting character!
  • The Drench concept was ultimately released with slight changes as the BotCon 2008 exclusive Shattered Glass Sideswipe, with the Wind Sheer redeco as Sideswipe's Micromaster companion Whisper.
