The Mini-Con Council of Sages is the governing body of the independent Mini-Con colonies on Cybertron's moon during the time after Unicron's destruction. Assembled to stand up for all of the long-plagued population, the Council prefers to keep interaction with the Autobots and Decepticons at a low level. For what sympathy this gets them, it also makes their reign shaky and rebellion a lot easier for the part of the population that opposes their pacifistic approaches.

Notes

  • The ranks of the Mini-Con Council of Sages would have been expanded with two more trios of Mini-Cons—the Decepticon-allied Overbite, Divebomb and Wideload, and the Autobot-allied Swoop, Tracks and Sledge—originally intended for release in Cybertron Mini-Con Versus Packs. However, when plans changed and the new-mold Cybertron Mini-Cons were shuffled into Classics three-packs, the bios ultimately went unused. The similarly-unused bios for the Cybertron incarnations of the Predator Attack Team and Night Rescue Team also made heavy reference to the Council. The specifics of the characters' bios make it apparent the Cybertron names were switched around a bit by the time the toys were ultimately released as part of the Classics line.[1] Sadly, the profile written for the Wideload vs. Sledge pack was apparently never shared online.
    • Of the known names for these additional council members, Tracks was the only one not to survive through to the final Classics releases. Based on the name itself and the bio's description of him as a slow-moving military commander,[2] it seems likely the bio was written with the tank mold (released as Broadside) in mind, but this has never been confirmed—meaning, for example, it's remotely possible the bio was intended for the tiger, which might also leave tracks. Certainly, the name Tracks couldn't be used for trademark reasons, as even when Hasbro released new toys of the G1 character they were forced to prefix the name as "Autobot Tracks" or "Turbo Tracks".

"TRACKS is a study in opposites. Though he is physically very slow moving, his mind is incredibly quick. Despite the fact that he is capable of bringing incredible brute force to bear on any argument, he prefers to out think his enemies. Often clumsy in daily life, he displays an uncanny grace on the battlefield. As supreme commander of the Council military, he is a brilliant military strategist, but he would rather solve disputes peacefully, keeping military action as a last resort. He is a firm believer that the MINI-CON robots, DECEPTICONS and AUTOBOTS are all one people, and hopes that one day they will all live in harmony together.
