Flame is an Autobot from the toyline portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The brains of the Motorvator assault force, Flame is a brilliant tactician and hunter. His Energon figure is equipped with a problem-solving analytical compu-unit, further enhancing his computational abilities. Combined with his flameproof laser-evader proton armor, this makes him more than a match for Overlord.

Flame is a redeco of the Brainmaster Laster, transforming into a Lamborghini Countach sports car. His incredibly simplistic transformation for his size is due to the gimmick in his torso: Placing his smaller Energon figure into the open chest cavity and closing the chest plate pushes the inner core of the small robot up, forming the larger robot's face. The Energon figure can also "pilot" Flame in vehicle mode.

Like the other Motorvators, Flame lacks the combiner kibble used by Laster to form Road Caesar (the shield-gun that forms the combined mode's leg armor), but can still be combined with the other two to form an incomplete Motorvator combiner.

Flame was released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in 1991, and was also released in European packaging in Japan, much like the later USA Editions.
