Not long after the defeat of the Terrorcons in Peru, Noah Diaz attempted a job interview with Burke in what appeared to be a mundane warehouse office. Noah, who was most likely expecting an interview for a common security job, was surprised to hear that Burke knew so many things about him, notably including every detail of Noah's recent encounter with the Transformers. As Noah was about to leave, Burke told him that his help could be useful for future conflicts and gave him his business card, which bore the logo of G.I. Joe on the reverse. To demonstrate good faith, he informed Noah that the organization was ready to cover all the care needed by his little brother Kris Diaz.
Then, he activated a secret door that opened onto a gigantic hangar containing vehicles and soldiers working on them. Rise of the Beasts
Notes
- Burke's name is never spoken onscreen in his brief screentime, only being written on his business card and in the credits.
- The G.I. Joe insignia on the business card is the incarnation which debuted in the 2009 live-action film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
- It remains to be seen if any future film will further develop Burke as a mere original character or a legacy Joe character, as no classic Joe carries the surname "Burke", with the closest being Matthew Burke, a one-off British spy and homage to James Bond from a 1986 G.I. Joe cartoon episode.
