Talk:Wheeljack (Movie)
Shouldn't the m in (movie) be capitalized? 70.53.248.58 06:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. --ItsWalky 06:51, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: "I don't remember a Wheeljack mentioned, but sure.". During the fourth story mission, Car Shopping, in Autobots. When you first meet Bumblebee, he tells you (the player-character) to scan a bunch of Earth vehicles, and the player-character mentions Wheeljack gave him some upgrades allowing him to store multiple alternate forms.
Is it worth noting that, according to Ghosts of Yesterday, Bumblebee apparantly also has these upgrades? He quickly assumes a wheeled ATV early after landing to investigate Ghost One, then reverts back to his Protoform in mere minutes (or at least he considers it, and the narration never ever implies it's a lengthy or energy-consuming task.) --Sntint 07:05, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- I read that Wheeljack was originally going to be in the movie on Wikipedia. Is there any truth to that, or is someone yanking my chain? -- SFH 05:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Que
Isn't this guy called Que now?
- ¡Usa El Queso!
- No. Even if he does end up being called "Que" in the film, he'll still be Wheeljack, just like Brawl and Rampage. --Detour 23:28, 3 June 2011 (EDT)
- Can we get one of those "Hey dumbass, don't edit this if you are only going to add stupid rumors" notes to TRY to stop people from changing this to Que every few days? --Khajidha 14:40, 14 June 2011 (EDT)
"Que" is the worst name in all of Transformers
I really want this to be noted, but his actual page probably isn't the right place. -LV 15:47, 1 July 2011 (EDT)
You think Erector is better? 10.176.65.91 03:41, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
In my defense of one of my favorite autobots the name is actually supposed to be like Q from a James bond movie, I think it was live and let die. jack Age 11
Name change
The Movie timeline article seems to imply that 'Que' is the name Wheeljack took on after being destroyed and extensively rebuilt. Should this be mentioned in a note?
Desmond Llewyln
Does anybody reminds him that he is much more like actor Desmond Llewyln?
are you sure that wheeljack is que? --Shockwave1704 11:06, 16 March 2012 (EDT)
Bumblebee film
Have we gotten any confirmation at all that he's supposed to show up aside from Travis Knight saying "maybe"? Escargon (talk) 10:35, 3 October 2018 (EDT)
Splitting Que and Wheeljack
shouldn't we move ROTB Wheeljack's stuff to a new page just like we did for ROTB Mirage? --Dictionaryabot 03:43, 7 june 2023 (EST)
- Going to push for this as well, if only for consistency's sake. Question is, what do we do about the Bumblebee guy? Escargon (talk) 07:08, 10 June 2023 (EDT)
- I would argue splitting into a new section, but not a new page. If Galvatron the crazed upgrade of Megatron and Galvatron the primitive warlord can both live on Galvatron (G1), both Wheeljacks can live on a "live action movie" contnuity family. AkibaSilver (talk) 13:19, 10 June 2023 (EDT)
- Except both Galvatrons look the same and ultimately have the same basic characterization. Que and the Wheeljack of ROTB are ultimately nothing alike; Que is more along the lines of classic inventor Wheeljack, while ROTB Wheeljack seems mainly to be a more general research type. Escargon (talk) 12:37, 10 June 2023 (EDT)
- I've been anticipating this and am mostly in favor of ROTB Wheeljack getting his own page, but keeping BB Wheeljack on the same page as DOTM Wheeljack/Que. The latter had that Movie Advanced toy that was as much influenced by G1 Wheeljack as BB Wheeljack's design is, so DOTM Que still has enough Wheeljack in him for the BB guy to stay. ROTB Wheeljack, however, is kind of a youngster in the movie, which neither the BB nor DOTM 'Jacks were. --Sabrblade (talk) 13:45, 10 June 2023 (EDT)
- With the franchise officially maintaining the line that this still a prequel, I think a split is absolutely warranted. I would lean towards keeping the Bee Movie guy with the ROTB guy, though - that feels less subjective to me than making calls based on what kind of off-screen merch characters had. Jalaguy (talk) 05:47, 11 June 2023 (EDT)
- Steve Blum voiced BB Wheeljack like a middle-aged man, akin to how Chris Latta made G1 Wheeljack sound. ROTB Wheeljack sounds like he just graduated high school. --Sabrblade (talk) 12:10, 11 June 2023 (EDT)
- Count me for another vote of "definitely split". On-screen they have basically nothing connecting them beyond the vaguest archetype of "smart guy" - not even the name! That said, I'd agree with keeping the Bumblebee prologue character on this page; Que has the explicit connection of "toys of him that look like G1 Wheeljack", which ROTB Wheeljack doesn't. --Riptide (talk) 19:22, 12 June 2023 (EDT)
- Put me down in the "BeastJack goes, BeeJack stays" column as well. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:24, 12 June 2023 (EDT)
- Yeah I'm with this split decision aswell, the only thing associated with ROTB Wheeljack is him fixing things which is literally quoted once by Mirage, but he doesn't really scream scientist nor "brilliant mechanical engineer" unlike the original Wheeljack or even Que as the matter of fact. And the whole changing accents from normal generic American accent, to then Latino and then half-English/Scottish/Irish/German is absolutely inconsistent. He really is in my headcanon just Wheeljack Jr., the son of Wheeljack. -- Pandatee 01 (talk) 12:35, 13 June 2023 (EDT)
- Even though ROTB and BB Wheeljack are portrayed fairly differently, the ROTB and BB movies still have tighter continuity between each other than ROTB has with the Bay movies. Also, as far as the movies are concerned, DOTM Wheeljack is named Que.--Primestar3 (talk) 09:36, 13 June 2023 (EDT)

I think we're jumping the gun here and not giving ROTB the proper amount of time it needs to give us more information on its incarnation of the character. The movie just came out and there's almost zero supporting fiction or official statements out there, but it may change soon. Maybe a motion comic showing how Wheeljack changed from BB to ROTB will be included as a DVD bonus, maybe Caple Jr will declare him as a separate character in the director's commentary, maybe a two-pack of Wheeljack toys or even a G1-inspired deco of one of the ROTB toys is just around the corner, and we'll have our definitive answear. All I'm saying is, it's worth waiting just a little bit longer to avoid regretting it later. If nothing of the sorts happens at least for the next few months, then I think it's fair game to make the split. -- Fritz (talk) 10:29, 13 June 2023 (EDT)
