Colin and Steve are snubbed by the Transformers.

Synopsis

[edit]

At the Combat Shed, Colin and Steve are looking forward to the party to celebrate both Christmas and the 250th issue of Transformers. They break out their saucepans for some extra helpings of fizzy pop, but when they arrive at the party there's a sign on the door telling them that the party is for Transformers only and humans aren't invited - "In other words: Clear off, you two!" While Steve is downhearted, Colin decides instead to hold their own party in the Combat Shed, telling Steve to invite many heroes from other Marvel comics.

Notes

[edit]
  • As usual with Combat Colin the fourth wall takes a bashing, not only with the reference to it being issue #250 but also when Steve grumbles to himself that the comic wouldn't even sell without them.
  • The Transformers' party was depicted on the cover of issue #250.
  • The rocky grey fella with the hirsute face is Mountain Man, who appeared in the next Transformers-relevant strip in his Bruce Banner-style alter ego, the Amazing Dave.
