During a Cobra attack, Flash and Sci-Fi were given experimental laser rifles to use against the Decepticon warriors Cobra had taken control of. After Sci-Fi shot Rumble through the head, the pair were under attack by Rumble's partner, Frenzy. The benevolent Autobot, Bumblebee, saved both of them . G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

Some time later, Flash accompanied the Laser Squad on a G.I. Joe mission to the Himalayas of Tibet to stop the forces of Cobra-La and Unicron. Saving their teammates from certain doom, Flash, Red Spot and Sci-Fi destroyed Monstructor. Black Horizon, Part 2
