G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

[edit]

During a Cobra attack on the SPS Research Facility, Flash and Sci-Fi were given experimental laser rifles to use against the Decepticon warriors Cobra had taken control of. After Sci-Fi shot Frenzy through the head, the pair came under attack by Frenzy's partner, Rumble. The benevolent Autobot, Bumblebee, saved both of them. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #3 After learning from Wheeljack the location of Cobra Island, the Joes planned to launch an attack against the terrorists on their home turf. Before they took off, however, Hawk received new orders from his superiors: to disable their Autobot allies and take them to Area 51, while Cobra Island was to be dealt with by a nuclear strike. Wheeljack resisted the magnetic pulse used to short-circuit him though, and Flash offered to use his laser rifle on the Transformer. But Wheeljack was allowed to speak, and warned the Joes that a nuclear weapon would react with the energon stockpile on Cobra Island and blanket half the Earth in a nuclear winter. The Joes decided to go against orders and rescue the Autobots held captive by the terrorists themselves. G.I. Joe vs. The Transformers #4

A few years later, Flash travelled to Cybertron with a number of other Joes to save four of their colleagues and the Autobots from Serpent O.R.. The Art of War #5

Some time later, Flash accompanied the Laser Squad on a G.I. Joe mission to the Himalayas of Tibet to stop the forces of Cobra-La and Unicron. Saving their teammates from certain doom, Flash, Red Spot, and Sci-Fi destroyed Monstructor. Black Horizon, Part 2 of 2

Flash's first mission as a member of G.I. Joe was to storm Springfield, a Cobra base disguised as a quaint little town. After rounding up the Cobra agents they encountered there, the Joes were recalled to T.H.E. P.I.T., where they were informed that the planet Cybertron was heading for the Earth. Flash was stationed as Lady Jaye's gunner, aboard her VAMP. During the inter-planetary meeting, Snake-Eyes sniped Hawk, injuring his arm. This caused Lady Jaye to jump the gun and ram Ravage with her vehicle. Things spiraled further out of control after that, culminating with Flash, Lady Jaye and Hawk all being trapped within Soundwave's chest compartment. Knowing that they had but moments before the Joe's contingency plan kicked in, Flash created an exit for the trio by cutting a hole out of Soundwave's chest, and the Joes scrambled away from the Decepticon. They were picked up by Duke, who managed to get them just out of the orbital defense satellite's kill zone, as it fired down a Coltonbolt and roasted Soundwave dead. I Saw Three Ships

Aboard the USS Flagg, Flash took part in General Hawk's mock-funeral, an elaborate set-up meant to draw Cobra into the open. The plan worked, though the Joes were faced with not only their human enemies, but the combined might of the Decepticobra alliance! After a hard-fought battle, the Joes were able to repel their opponents. Funeral for a Friend

Flash, Lady Jaye, and Hawk stormed the White House when they learned that General Flagg had overthrown the president to take command of the country. Flagg talked the three of them into helping him find Omega Supreme instead of arresting him. They found the Autobot disguised as "Highway Ω" on Earth, and were caught atop of him when he transformed and flew off to Cybertron. Flash and his team took off on their own to scour Cybertron for their allies, encountering aggressive Decepticon Pretenders along the way. Pax Megatronus After joining up with the other Joes, they fought alongside the Autobots in a final battle with Decepticobra, with Flash and Lady Jaye riding into battle on Swoop. The War Never Ends

During the Ore-13 crisis, Flash was stationed on Governor's Island when Action Man stormed the base to investigate rumors of Transformer activity. Flash, Mayday and the other Joes on duty couldn't stop the British superspy from escaping with Kup in tow, and were forced to scatter when a low-power orbital barrage hit the base to cover their escape. The Modern World

Shortly afterwards, a G.I. Joe taskforce consisting of Flash, Mayday, Quarrel, and Heavy Duty were deployed the remote country of Schleteva to investigate a sudden communications blackout in the capital city of Verenya. They discovered that the inhabitants of the city had all been transformed into Dire Wraiths; when Rom arrived, the Joe squad teamed up with the Space Knight and tracked the energy to a strange Talisman stashed beneath the city. In the ensuing battle between Action Man, Garrison Blackrock, and the Oktober Guard, the Talisman was activated. Though Rom's Neutralizer was able to shield some of the humans, Flash wasn't one of them, and as a result he was transformed into a Dire Wraith hybrid. He and the other two mutated Joes were placed in the care of the Action Man Programme in the hopes of finding a cure, while Mayday pledged to un-mutate her teammates. Crisis Intervention

During an assault by led by Baron Ironblood against Onyx corporation's Buenos Aires facility, Action Man released the Dire Wraith hybrids to create a diversion. Blackrock was able to use Metrotitan to broadcast an energy wave to restore the Dire Wraith hybrids to their original forms, Flash and the other Joes were among those restored to normal human form.
