The name or term "Terrorcon" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Terrorcon (disambiguation).
You cannot destroy evil. It exists always as a counter-force. A balance in nature that is always maintained... no matter how noble the founding intention.

The Terrorcons work for Unicron. They're really good at killing, hunting, and destroying planets, all in the name of their master.

Known members include:

They also have a bunch of non-sentient Predacons known as Scorponoks at their disposal.

The Terrorcons are a ruthless faction of Cybertronians in service to the god like creature, Unicron. These warriors hunt for planets for Unicron to consume, wiping out resistance that could prevent their dark god from feeding. The leader of the heralds is Scourge, who earned his position at Unicron's side through a faustian bargain. In return for power and survival, Scourge promised his soul to the planet sized monster when Unicron visited his homeworld. Scourge is flanked by the brutish Battletrap and the sleek Nightbird as Unicron's known primary agents, with hordes of Freezers and Scorponoks supporting them.

"One ticket to Barbie, please."

The Terrorcons were sent to the Maximal homeworld as an advance force to destroy its animalistic protectors and recover the Transwarp Key, only for the Maximal leader Apelinq to sacrifice himself to allow the other Maximals to escape with the Transwarp Key and deny Unicron his prize, though their world was nevertheless destroyed. Later in 1994, the Terrorcons made their reappearance on Earth when the Transwarp Key revealed itself after being uncovered by Elena Wallace, leading to a battle between the minions of Unicron and the Autobots, resulting in the deactivation of Bumblebee and the capture of the Transwarp Key. The Terrorcons were forced to leave the rest of Optimus's crew after the timely intervention of Airazor. However, it was revealed that the Terrorcons had only found half of the device, leading to Unicron torturing Scourge for his failure before sending him after the other half, bringing the Terrorcons into conflict with the Autobots again, this time in the nation of Peru. During the fight, Scourge infected the Maximal Airazor with Unicron's dark energy, steadily eating away at her will, slowly giving Scourge control over her while the humans Noah Diaz and Elena Wallace escaped with the second half of the key. Before the Autobots and Airazor regrouped with the humans, Optimus promised Scourge that he would bury him on Earth. The afflicted Airazor was forced to be put down by Optimus Primal while Scourge used the chaos of the moment to steal the other half of the key. The Terrorcons relocated to a nearby Volcano to prepare for Unicron's arrival. To prevent the arrival of their dark master, the Autobots and the Maximals joined forces and battled Nightbird and Battletrap, as well as the swarms of Freezers and Scorponoks while Scourge protected the Transwarp Key while the portal opened. As Unicron came through the portal, an energy burst was released that ignited energon deposites, bringing Bumblebee back online in time to join the fight. Despite their power, the terrorcons were overcome by the Autobots and the Maximals, Nightbird being destroyed by Bumblebee, and Battletrap having his head smashed by Optimus Primal. When Optimus Prime battled Scourge again, Prime was able to overpower the monstrous herald, taking off his head, but not before Scourge destroyed the console controlling the portal, forcing Optimus to destroy the key to deny the planet to Unicron. The destruction of the key triggered a massive implosion, wiping out the swarm of Freezers and Scorponoks surrounding the machinery used to open the portal. --Odinson (talk) 20:23, 7 July 2023 (EDT) Rise of the Beasts

Notes

  • The Terrorcons in The Rise of the Beasts film feature similarities to the Unicron aligned Decepticons from the original 1986 movie. Like his Generation 1 counterpart, Scourge was transformed and given greater power by Unicron in exchange for servitude. Similarly, he also appears to serve as the leader of the swarm of Freezers featured in the film, much like how Gen 1 Scourge was the leader of the Sweeps.
  • The origins of the other Terrorcons are not elaborated on in detail in the movie, but they could share a similar story to Scourge by also being the last survivors of their homeworlds, or alternatively being castaways picked up by Unicron, similar to how Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Gen 1 Scourge became enthralled in Unicron's service.
  • The status of Scorponok is left unclear in the film. While the toyline associated with Rise of the Beasts identifies the transformer as a Predacon, no such identifier is assigned in the movie itself, though Scourge himself does wear Predacon symbols as trophies, indicating that Predacons do exist in this continuity. --Odinson (talk) 20:23, 7 July 2023 (EDT)
