G3 Prime steps in to prevent a ghostly infestation.

Synopsis

As part of a plan to steal the Chrono Matrix from its resting place under the protection of Master Optimus Prime on Cybertron, the Decepticons lure Geistrom, a machine-hating extraterrestrial specter who can destroy technology with a touch, to the planet. The alien swarms the planet, and Master Optimus Prime fights alongside an ancient guardian of time, G3 Prime, in combatting the threat. G3 Prime holds the ghostly forms back with his Gravity Field and realizes the true key to defeating this seemingly unbeatable spiritual enemy was to attack the very essence of a spirit: its belief. G3 Prime opens portals in spacetime to bring forth humans from Earth, who are immune to the ghost's touch. At the Prime's beckoning, one human steps forward and shows Geistrom a G-Shock watch, with the others soon showing off their favorite gadgets. Seeing how humans and machines coexist, with machines helping and humans showing affection, Geistrom is forced into confusion at this rebuttal to his deeply-held belief that all machines are the true evil of the universe. Seizing the opportunity, G3 Prime seals the weakened alien swarm in a rift he's opened in spacetime. However, the battle has exhausted the Prime, and he is forced to send the humans back to Earth on a rough trip sans their devices.

With the G-Shock watch in his hand, G3 Prime summoned whatever little strength he had to hand over the watch to Master Optimus Prime, before disappearing into the same rift that consumed Geistrom. Now in possession of the watch, Optimus hears the voice of G3, explaining that he is speaking through the watch thanks to a power bestowed on them by the Chrono Matrix. The elder Prime explains the role of the watch in the recent battle and how it can enhance Optimus's own power. He entreats the younger Prime to return the watch to its rightful owner and convey his gratitude before his message abruptly cuts off.
