Freezer

Freezers are Terrorcons from the Rise of the Beasts portion of the Movie continuity family.

I didn't think I would see Optimus Prime with you, but monkeys do travel in troops.

Freezers (aka Sweeps) are spine-chilling, insectoid-like Terrorcons under Scourge's command that sniff out their prey and function as weapons for the Terrorcons.

Fiction

Rise of the Beasts film

Scourge deployed the two Freezers he carried in his body to retrieve the Transwarp Key and kill the two humans aware of its existence, Elena Wallace and Noah Diaz. They pursued them through the museum, having the brute strength to smash through doors, but also moving stealthily with their ability to cling to walls. When one was about to get to Elena, Noah momentarily stopped it by hitting its head with a relic, and the humans managed to run out the exit, where a heated battle between the Autobots and the Terrorcons was taking place. Both Freezers followed the humans outside, where they attacked and fought against Mirage until the battle was over.

One of the same Freezers was dispatched in Peru, with the same mission of "Kill the humans, get the key". Crossing the rooftops and avoiding detection due to Mirage being distracted by 'groupies', it went underground into the buried city. Without the humans noticing, it snuck into the chamber with the empty coffin which had once contained the key, but before it could kill either of them, Noah saw it on the wall behind Elena. The pair ran for their lives, the Freezer giving relentless chase. After nearly killing them several times, it itself was killed when Noah accidentally shot it with his Cybertronian gauntlet, not having realised it had any weapons to fight back with.

Hundreds of Freezers were created at the Transwarp gateway, and engaged in battle with the combined Autobot and Maximal forces. Scourge dispatched his last remaining Freezer to hunt Elena through the access tunnel, cornering her over a pool of lava before she impaled it in the head and sent it falling into the magma. While the larger Freezer forces were individually weak, they had sheer numbers and the later accompanying Predacon Scorponoks on their side, only being fully defeated when Optimus Prime blew up the gateway construct, and all the remaining Freezers and Scorponoks were likewise incinerated or sucked into the collapsing portal. Part of the fifth wave of Studio Series Core Class, Terrorcon Freezer is based on the character's appearance in Rise of the Beasts, converting from a Frenzy-esque four-armed robot into three Cybertronian weapon modes: a handheld blaster, a free-standing gun emplacement, and a configuration designed to attach to Studio Series Scourge's truck bed.

Freezer and wavemate Arcee were first revealed via Amazon Australia listings, days before their official reveal by Hasbro on January 10, 2023.
