This article is about the Operation Combination Autobot. For the Kre-O human, see Fire Chief (Kre-O).
Fire Chief is an Autobot from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Surprisingly not a Walmart Universe exclusive circa 2004.

Fire Chief (ファイヤーチーフ Faiyā Chīfu) is the leader of the Guard City team, the main force in the war against the invading Decepticon forces led by Scrash.

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

  • Guard City (Multi-pack, 1992)
    • ID number: TF-04
    • Accessories: 2 rifles, 2 hoses
Released in the Operation Combination portion of the original Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Fire Chief is a redeco of the original Hot Spot, transforming into a Mitsubishi Fuso Great fire engine with extendable ladder. The figure can also form a weird "repair bay" kind of thing. Since Fire Chief uses the Scramble City style of combination, they can form the torso of any combination of compatible limb-robots.
Fire Chief was only available as a part of the complete Guard City box set, along with Fly-Up, Safety, Sparkride, and Streetstar. As one of the very last releases of the Japanese Transformers line, at a time when pretty much everyone had stopped buying Transformers, even a loose set of the team can demand prices over a thousand dollars.

Notes

  • None of the Guard City components were given individual bios. This was actually very common by this point in the Takara Transformers line, which was loaded up with multi-packs (mainly of Micromasters) where the singular on-package bio would cover the entire team, and there was very little fiction to even attempt to highlight anyone beyond "hey cool robot that fights good".
