Notes
[edit]- Characters mentioned in the history record on Grimlock include: Optimus Prime, Slag, Snarl, Sludge, Swoop, Megatron, the Ark's computer (see errors below), Shockwave, Ratchet, Omega Supreme, Trypticon, Goldbug/Bumblebee, Blaster, Wheeljack, Sky Lynx, the Spacehikers, Starscream, Jazz, Thunderwing, the Mayhem Attack Squad, Primus, Unicron, Prowl, Bludgeon, the Last Autobot, Bug Bite, Ironworks,

- Images used to represent Grimlock's history include a headshot of him from issue #8 of the Marvel The Transformers comic (pencils by William Johnson, inks by Kyle Baker, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Swoop, Perceptor, and Jetfire declaring Grimlock their leader from issue #27 (pencils by Don Perlin, inks by Ian Akin and Brian Garvey, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock on his throne (with the Dinobots, First Aid, and Beachcomber standing by) from issue #36 (pencils by José Delbo, inks by Ian Akin and Brian Garvey, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock crushing a crown in anger in front of Goldbug from issue #28 (pencils by Don Perlin, inks by Ian Akin and Brian Garvey, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Starscream using the power of the Underbase to have the Decepticon Pretenders fire on Grimlock, from issue #50 (pencils by José Delbo, inks by Dave Hunt, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock in his Pretender shell standing in triumph over some destroyed Decepticons (with Fixit visible in the background) from issue #60 (pencils by José Delbo, inks by Dave Hunt, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock destroying his room in anger from issue #69 (pencils by Andrew Wildman, inks by Harry Candelario, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock in his Action Master form from issue #76 (pencils by Andrew Wildman, inks by Stephen Baskerville, colors by Nelson Yomtov); Grimlock and Optimus defending Skyfall from Megatron from "Crossing Over, Part 1" (pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Terry Pallot, colors by Krista Ward and Joe Givens); Grimlock versus the Constructicons from "Crossing Over: Part 5" (pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Terry Pallot and Jake Isenberg, colors by Josh Perez); and Grimlock on monitor duty from "Shattered Hope" (pencils and inks by Matt Frank, colors by Thomas Deer).
- Grimlock's reference number is #DR.1//ONOKOU21N616599M.30. DR.1 is derived from his original toy's Diaclone release's i.d. number, as "Dinosaur Robo 1"; ONOKOU is derived from his original toy's designer, Kōjin Ōno; and 616599M.30 is derived from his toy's patent application number 616,599, filed on May 30, 1984.
- As with Prowl last issue, this is a sort of wiki-like rundown of Classics Grimlock's history.
- Characters mentioned in Grimlock's profile include: Classics Optimus Prime, Classics Blaster, Classics Prowl, Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, Shattered Glass Blaster, Shattered Glass Prowl, and Shattered Glass Galvatron.
- Grimlock's alternate mode is noted to be a Utahraptor, as his profile in the Beast Wars Sourcebook indicated.
- This is Grimlock's third More than Meets the Eye-style profile! The same Grimlock, no less! The piece of artwork used here is the same as that used for his last one.
- These are the last installments of Hot Shot's Bot Thoughts, Recordicons, and Bot on the Street, taking us from Maximum Willis to Minimum Willis.
Errors
[edit]- On the Hall of Fame nominees page, an image of Cybertron Jungle Planet Optimus Prime is used as representation of Optimus Primal.
- The history record on Grimlock accidentally calls the Ark's computer Teletraan I-being a recap of the Marvel continuity, it should be "Auntie".
- Additionally, Optimus Prime is described as missing when Grimlock takes over the Autobots; he's actually (sort of) dead, as seen in issue #24.
- Sky Lynx's name is spelled "Skylynx".
- Mayhem Attack Squad is spelled "mayhem Attack Squad".
- GoBot is spelled "Gobot".
