[edit]When asked about the meaning of the word "Decepticon" by a letter writer, Soundwave quoted the New Cybertronic Dictograph to answer him.[1]
Decepticon (dis-ep-ti-con) n. a member of a subsversive [sic] sect or society. From the the [sic] noun – 'deception'; one who deceives.
