- Camaro (Malignus, 1987)
The purple/lavender version of Camaro was repurposed as Shattered Glass Windcharger in "Coalescence".
- A redeco and slight retooling of the Mini Vehicle Windcharger, Camaro transforms into a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (which begs the question of what's up with his name). He was released only in Brazil by Estrela in two different color schemes: metal-flake blue with pale yellow, and dark purple with lavender robot parts. The mold was also slightly altered to accommodate the new "Malignus" sigil decal in robot mode.
- All of the Optimus/Malignus" Mini Vehicle releases are considered fairly rare, and go for a fairly high price on the secondary market, particularly the secondary color schemes; in this instance, the purple/lavender Camaro goes for more.
- This mold was also retooled to make Tailgate and later Rook. Camaro's other coloration was used as inspiration for Shattered Glass Tailgate.
Notes
[edit]- Windcharger was not visually depicted in Fun Publications' stories, but Jesse Wittenrich later clarified his design intent on Twitter.[1]
- In IDW Publishing's comic series, Windcharger has his previous color scheme applied to the Power of the Primes Legends Class Windcharger toy.
