Now with 50% less shoulders and 100% more lipstick.

Override is an accomplished racer and an agile warrior—this potent combination of skills has landed her acclaim on planets like Velocitron, where the two professions are practically one and the same, and even on Cybertron, her talents ensure her a cushy position on top of the proverbial heap.

While Override's swift enough to leave most of her foes in the dust, the only thing that can consistently bring her down is her own ego. She looks down upon those Cybertronians who can't match her breakneck speed and dismisses organic lifeforms as insignificant. Override's classist attitude can land her in a predicament of her own making... one she might not be able to simply outrun.

Fiction

Beast Wars: Uprising

On post-Great War Cybertron, the Autobot Builder Override's body was barely functional, and the only source of fulfillment she could get was watching her descendants, the Maximals, fight to the death against Predacons. She functioned as the administrator of the Dodecahex Arena. Once, a contestant tried to escape the arena into the river flowing through Dodecahex. Afterwards, Override seeded the river with alloygators and oxide sharks to prevent repeat incidents.

Override was overseeing the fateful 1924th Games when Lio Convoy sneaked a team of rebels led by Blackarachnia into the broadcast center. Blackarachnia's team members took out Override's MCSF guards while Blackarachnia herself held Override at gunpoint to stop the Builder from activating the automated defense systems. As Blackarachnia's team took control of the broadcasting equipment to continue focusing on Lio Convoy, Override asked why the Maximals were doing such things to their ancestor. Blackarachnia merely replied that the impending announcement was too important to risk letting a Builder jam it. Broken Windshields

2005 IDW continuity

Override was born on Velocitron, a colony planet settled by Navitas. By the 2010s, she was based out of the capital city Delta, having proved her speed to become planetary leader. Race Against the Light When battling Combiners from Cybertron briefly touched upon Velocitron, Knock Out and Moonracer investigated the footprints left behind and went to report it to Override. All That Remains Her power over the planet was not absolute as she was having to share some leadership with her rival, Ransack, who was threatening to take her position completely in the next Speedia race. Race Against the Light

When Moonracer explained Velocitronian society to her new Camien ally Windblade, Override was one of the prominent Velocitronians whom Moonracer envisioned. Windblade vol. 2 #4

As leader, Override would grant a request of whoever won the Benefit 500, so Windblade and Moonracer got Blurr into the race in hopes of convincing Override to have included Velocitron in the Council of Worlds. Override was initially unimpressed by Blurr's refusal to fight back against the other racers, but was won over by his flashy victory brought about by Windblade messing with the racetrack's ramps. Upon hearing their request, she asked the audience to vote through applause on whether or not to honor it, and they resoundingly voted yes. Race Against the Light Presumably, Override officially appointed Knock Out and Moonracer as delegates to ratify Council membership. Windblade vol. 2 #6

Override perished when Unicron devoured Velocitron; when the planet-eater next reappeared over Elonia, Rom and Livia spied her body atop a mound of Velocitronian dead. Our Darkest

2019 IDW continuity

A racer in Velocitron's Speedia 500, Override posed for a picture before the race, starting in the pole position. Tread & Circuits Part 2 Override held the lead for most of the race only to fall back when Mayhem caught up to the lead racers, and Knock Out instead won the race. Tread & Circuits Part 3 Override was on stage during the ceremony where he was named First Senator, before another Mayhem attack sent the crowds fleeing. Tread & Circuits Part 4

Last Bot Standing

In the far future, long after the end of the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons had left the universe drained of energon, Override fell under the command of ex-Decepticon Steeljaw. To survive, Steeljaw's forces reconfigured themselves to run on biofuel, a substance generated by the farming of organic matter. When the group touched down on planet Donnokt, Override and Riotgear were sent to find the wayward Nitro. Managing to track down Nitro's stasis pod, Override helped herself to some of the leaked biofuel before Riotgear found some natives who pointed them in the direction of Fembrance where Nitro had been. Last Bot Standing #2 Not having enough fuel to activate their sensors, the two failed to detect Nitro's remains, Last Bot Standing #3 instead finding the bound Rodimus, whom they freed and brought to Steeljaw. Last Bot Standing #2

Following the Veteran's reactivation, Override towed a trailer to Fembrance to harvest its resources. Upon arrival, Steeljaw and Sharpclaw's enhanced olfactory sensors located Nitro's corpse before the pack went to work. When a rejuvenated Rodimus arrived, Override confusingly pointed out to her comrades that Rodimus had not consumed the resource, before Steeljaw confronted the Autobot. Last Bot Standing #3

After it was found that Rodimus had been hiding energon, the pack's hunger for true fuel caused them to charge Steeljaw for the energon keys, accidentally shattering one. As the group frantically clawed at the spilled fuel, Shib Wallkis used the distraction to free the organics. Last Bot Standing #4

  • Override (Deluxe Class, 2005)
    • Japanese ID number: GC-10
    • Accessories: Engine-blaster, Speed Planet Cyber Planet Key
The Cybertron Override toy doubles as Beast Wars: Uprising Override.
Part of the Speed Planet theme, Cybertron Override transforms into a sleek futuristic race car. Plugging a Cyber Planet Key into the rear portion of her car mode causes two non-firing blasters to flip out into attack position; this assembly becomes a hand-weapon for robot mode, and can also store on her back. Override's transformation is partially spring-loaded; pressing her black "front bumper" automatically flips her torso and arms into position, requiring only her lower body and backpack to be manually configured. She came with a gold-bordered Velocitron-style Cyber Planet Key.
There are a few small deco changes between the Hasbro and Takara versions of the toy; Takara's has a gold face, black paint on the chest intakes and blue stripes on the thighs while Hasbro's has an orange face, an Autobot faction sigil on the left side of her chest, a less prominent stripe pattern on the inside shins and gives her Key the Key code "dy7p".
This version of Override also was available in two different store-exclusive multi-packs. The first was a Wal-Mart set, including the Cybertron-series Tiny Tins version of the Race Mini-Con Team member Mirage. The second was a Target-exclusive "Drag Race" set with Hot Shot.
This mold was used to make the evil clone Dark Nitro Convoy.

Notes

  • Override is based on Cybertron Override, and the IDW incarnation also takes elements of the Aligned incarnation of Override.
  • In Uprising continuity, Override coexists alongside Nitro Convoy, who takes the Japanese market name.
  • Despite the preponderance of other Legacy Velocitron figures in Tread & Circuits, Override was not drawn according to her Legacy figure, perhaps as a result of said figure changing plans late-stage from being retool of Studio Series 86-04 Hot Rod before becoming an entirely new mold.[1] Line artist Jack Lawrence clarified that he drew Override based on a personal copy of the Cybertron "GTS" redeco. [2] This ambiguity would carry on into Last Bot Standing; E. J. Su bases her on a similar design, but uses silver instead of gold details while adding Mad Max-style spikes.
  • Override conspicuously disappears halfway through Last Bot Standing #4 as the rest of Steeljaw's followers form Unstoppimus. Unlike the others, she wasn't a pre-existing combiner component.
