The Terrans try their hand at baking, but things don't go according to plan.
Synopsis
[edit]The five Terrans are playing outside, but Thrash thinks their game of freeze tag would be more fun if their human siblings Robby and Mo joined in. However, the two humans are off having dinner inside the house; when Thrash peeks inside, he sees Alex serving an ube-macapuno cake. Thrash is initially confused by their talk of a "sweet tooth" until Robby explains the meaning of the term. Although the humans laugh off the misunderstanding, Thrash is upset by the fact that he doesn't eat food and can't join in. Through their cyber-sleeves, Robby and Mo sense Thrash's consternation, but Twitch has a plan to cheer up her brother.
In the Dugout, Twitch suggests that the Terrans learn how to cook so that they can be included at the dinner table, and Mo points out that tomorrow is their parents' anniversary. Jawbreaker suggests building a kitchen in the Dugout, but Nightshade points out that the barn's hay supplies present a fire hazard. Hashtag searches the internet for an oven-less cookie recipe; after Alex and Dot drop by to apologize for excluding the Cybertronians, the kids hatch a plan: before Robby and Mo go to school in the morning, they'll leave the ingredients in the Dugout for the Terrans to prepare.
The next morning, the two humans gather the necessary ingredients from the kitchen and leave them outside the barn for the Terrans. When they encounter Bumblebee, Mo accidentally drops the butter in a hay bale, but quickly salvages the situation by lying that they're moving some excess food to the barn. Shortly after the humans leave, Bumblebee announces that he has to leave to help Optimus Prime and Megatron deal with a mudslide--the perfect opportunity for the Terrans to carry out their master plan. The Terrans get to work, but things don't go smoothly--Hashtag thinks that the butter is supposed to have hay in it, and Twitch accidentally breaks a mixing bowl when she uses her laser to melt the butter. The Terrans spoon the cookie dough into a spare ice cube tray, then leave it in the freezer while they go and play. Unfortunately, they get carried away and completely lose track of time; when their parents return home hours later, they realize that they've forgotten to take the cookies out of the freezer.
The Terrans sheepishly explain what happened, but Dot is proud of them for trying something new. To make sure that everyone is included at mealtimes, she and Alex have purchased a metal picnic table, and announces that they're going to collaborate on a family cookbook.

[edit]- This story is set "a few months" after the events of "Secret Legacy, Part 1". As with the previous installment, the Terrans all possess their respective alternate modes, which would date the stories to some time after "A Stygi Situation".
