Wirespike

Wirespike is a pre-Decepticon from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Ruckus is G1, Kaskade has a toy, Lowload has a Shattered Glass counterpart...and then there's me...just a guy.

Wirespike is a member of The Rise.

Part of a small Rise cell led by Ruckus, Wirespike joined his leader in an attempt to siphon energon from a remote energon transmission station following the destruction of the Rise base underneath the Memorial Crater. They tripped an alarm and as Wirespike was hooking the siphon up, Springer arrived on the scene to confront them. The Security Operations officer was taken down by Lowload, but Ruckus ordered the group to retreat and hide within a nearby immersant Titan in the Cybertronian Mountains. Once Springer had recovered and regrouped with Sideswipe, they called in back-up and followed the Risers to their temporary bolthole. Wirespike and Lowload helped Ruckus deploy a stashed rail gun to pin the approaching Springer down. While Ruckus was having his fun firing the massive weapon, Wirespike, Lowload, and Kaskade tried to leave their leader behind and escape, only to find themselves forced back inside the Titan by Sideswipe's return fire. A larger Security force arrived on the scene as it became a stand-off, with the Risers holed-up in the immersant Titan. Wirespike and the others shot down any attempts from Security to negotiate a peaceful surrender and later repelled a forced breaching attempt. Soundwave showed up to the stand-off, declared his peaceful intentions and entered the Titan to negotiate in person. Once inside, he confirmed that Ruckus's team had no compromising information on The Rise and promised to get them out safely, much to Wirespike's relief. However, Ruckus unwisely blabbed about some of Soundwave's connections in The Rise, revealing he DID have some information that could not fall into Security's hands. Knowing he had to silence them, Soundwave planted an electromagnetic suppressor in the ground and advised Wirespike and the others to stay put and await further instructions. After Soundwave returned outside, a massive explosion erupted from within the Titan, The Change In Your Nature Part Two which Wirespike did not survive. The Change In Your Nature Part Three
