Transformers Collaborative Code Red is a Deluxe Class figure that transforms from robot to an officially-licensed Volkswagen Vanagon, specifically the customized "Pizzamobile" used by Surfer Boy Pizza delivery drivers in the Netflix-produced science-fiction/horror series Stranger Things.

Code Red includes an axe and bat to wield in robot mode, plus a small Surfer Boy Pizza-branded pizza box likely intended to be stored inside his vehicle mode. The decorative roof light of Code Red's vehicle mode detaches to become a shoulder-mounted blaster when in robot mode, with a 5 mm port included on the barrel intended to be used with the included blast effect part.

Code Red's packaging is modeled after a Surfer Boy Pizza pizza box, which is incredibly cute. The fake sticker on the front of the box features the Lenora Hills location's address and a fake phone number (755 38-PIZZA). If Hasbro were really going for source accuracy, they could've used the phone number actually used in Stranger Things ((805) 457-4992), which is a real phone number that you can call to receive a pre-recorded message from Argyle, one of the show's characters. Also printed on said "sticker", underneath Code Red's name, is a phrase written in Ancient Autobot that reads "DELIVERED HOT TO YOUR DOOR", which is Surfer Boy Pizza's tagline. There's another fake sticker printed on the back of the box with another Ancient Autobot phrase, which reads... "CODE RED". Hmm.

Code Red was unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con on July 21st 2023, and later revealed as a Target exclusive (with limited quantities on Hasbro Pulse), with preorders available on October 27 and the product due to ship on November 28.

Notes

• As a series heavily inspired by '80s pop culture, it's only natural that Stranger Things tips its hat to Transformers. In the first episode of Season 3, "Suzie, Do You Copy?", one of Dustin's toys brought to life is a Generation 1 Ultra Magnus figure, which has been slightly modified (by way of tape) to add a set of motorized wheels underneath his robot feet... however, as Season 3 is set in 1985, this means that Dustin somehow got ahold of a Generation 1 Ultra Magnus a year before he was actually released. Oops.
