- Esmeral is a heroic Decepticon reporter from the Shattered Glass continuity family.
Esmeral is the co-founder of DBN (Decepticon Broadcasting Network, presumably) along with Monstructor.

When Punch went undercover to report about the latest episode of "Decepticon troublemaking", Esmeral and Monstructor made him an offer to join their network, which he accepted, much to Rook's misery. Around Cybertron #8
Esmeral and DBN welcomed the positive universe Autobots to their Cybertron after the invasion of Ultra Magnus cost them their universe. Esmeral personally expressed her sympathies to Perceptor. Solar Requiem

- When asked if Esmeral was married to General Deathsaurus, creator Jesse Wittenrich answered that Esmeral is "too busy saving the whales of Pequod" to have a husband.[1] Wittenrich further elaborated that Esmeral and Deathsaurus once had a fling but now occupy different positions in life.[2] His profile for Esmeral ultimately ended up unpublished and establishes her alternate mode to be a "winged Vaal beast".[3]
- Esmeral's coloration is drawn from the Brave figure Red Geist, who was a redeco of the original Deathsaurus.
