Play-Doh is a name brand of multi-colored modeling compound. It was originally created in the 1930s by Noah McVicker of soap manufacturer Kutol Products as a wallpaper cleaner, but the product was re-branded as a craft item when McVicker's nephew Joe McVicker noted that school children were using it to make Christmas ornaments. In 1956 the pair formed the company Rainbow Crafts to market it, but a series of mergers and buy-outs led to the product being owned by Kenner, then Tonka, and then finally Hasbro.

Remember, Play-Doh is "Fun to play with, not to eat!"

Optimus Prime, Rarity, Peppa Pig, Catboy and the Dino Fury Red Ranger prepared a surprise birthday party for the Green Play-Doh. Unfortunately, it was ruined by a storm caused by the mad scientist Romeo's weather machine shortly before the Green Play-Doh arrived. Fortunately, however, the Red Ranger was able to distract the Green Play-Doh by dancing while wearing a bush while the others fixed everything. Though Romeo was angered that his plan had failed, the Green Play-Doh and the others still invited him to join the party.[1]

Grimlock was doing construction work, along with Bumblebee and the Purple Play-Doh. During their break time, Grimlock and Bumblebee got into a fight that caused the Purple Play-Doh to get injured several times in the process.[2]

Optimus got into a fight with Grimlock but they were eventually interrupted by the Red Play-Doh, who made them clean an ice cream truck. After they completed their task, the ice cream truck transformed into Mudflap and scared away the Red Play-Doh.[3]

War for Cybertron Trilogy

All three of the War for Cybertron Trilogy toylines' Netflix-branded Leader Class figures come with a substance referred to on the box as a "compound", however, anyone who has been in contact with Play-Doh before will know by the smell and the texture that it really is just Play-Doh.
Each of these figures feature hidden items within the included compound; Ultra Magnus and Nemesis Prime feature three energon cubes inside their compound, while Megatron's features two blue Fire Blast effects and the AllSpark.
