[edit]When Starscream attacked the city of Manehattan, Rarity and her boutique staff were pressganged into making him look presentable, including designing a stylish cape for him to wear as he conquered Equestria. Rarity did her best to cater to his demands, though Starscream was unconvinced of her sincerity. After Arcee arrived and forced Starscream to retreat, Rarity was awed but grateful for her savior. She was particularly impressed with how tender the Autobot became immediately after the battle, and as they introduced themselves to each other they realized they had a lot in common despite their physical differences, with Rarity even viewing them both as kindred spirits. As Rarity started recapping her own adventures, Starscream attacked once again with Skywarp and Thundercracker in tow.
Though Arcee called for her to take cover, Rarity refused to abandon her new friend and conjured a magical shield for her to use against the Seekers' attacks, allowing Arcee the opening to shoot down Thundercracker. She then asked Arcee to get the remaining Seekers to fly closer together, allowing her to use the very cape she made for Starscream to tangle him and Skywarp together. After a brief struggle, Skywarp teleported away leaving Starscream to lose control and crash outside the city. Now it was Arcee's turn to be thankful for Rarity's help, but Rarity assured her that it was simply what friends were meant to do for each other, and the pair were certainly now friends. Shine Like a Diamond
Rarity came to watch Rainbow Dash's race against Windblade The Flyin' Fox Trot and would later take part in the final battle in the Crystal Empire, in which she and Arcee fought Skrapnel. Finale
Some time later, Rarity witnessed the Decepticon attack on Las Pegasus. She and her friends chased Starscream through a space bridge portal to Cybertron, where she bore witness to the revival of King Sombra. She avoided being placed under his spell, and when Optimus Prime arrived on the scene, she told him and Shockwave that the only way to defeat Sombra before he enslaved the whole planet would be for the Autobots and Decepticons to work together. The Magic of Cybertron
Rarity would later pair up with Ratchet, following a group of possessed Cybertronians in an effort to catch them. Though she admitted her magical prowess was limited, she still managed to help Ratchet capture someone, only to discover she had captured the still free-willed Knock Out instead. The vain Decepticon appreciated meeting a fellow aesthetics appreciator. With Knock Out forced to tag along, Rarity encouraged him to cooperate by complimenting his talk of refining others' beauty, suggesting it was precisely why he needed to stay alive. Knock Out responded by showing her all of Cybertron's most beautiful places in their pursuit of Sombra's slaves. At the energon springs, the group launched an unplanned attack on the horde, with Rarity using her magic to distract them long enough for Ratchet to prepare his equipment. After Knock Out's attempt at freeing Breakdown from Sombra's spell failed, Rarity reminded him that more would be needed for it to work. Despite Ratchet's exasperation, she reminded him that it was the power of friendship that defeated Sombra last time, meaning it could work again. Ratchet placed a device on Rarity's head through which she could channel her magic, and with the help of Knock Out's passion for Breakdown, they successfully freed him and a few other Transformers from Sombra's control. The Beauty of Cybertron Rarity was subsequently given a transformable exosuit so she could harness the power of friendship into a weapon, turning into a shield for Shockwave. During the final battle with Sombra, Rarity used the magic of friendship to free Twilight Sparkle from his control. After preventing Sombra from getting control of Scorponok, the Equestrians returned home, taking Sombra as a prisoner, with Rarity suggesting the possibility of future cultural exchanges between Cybertron and Equestria. Unfortunately, it was ruined by a storm caused by the mad scientist [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}PJ Masks#Villains|{{#if:Romeo|Romeo|PJ Masks#Villains}}]]'s weather machine shortly before the Green Play-Doh arrived. Fortunately, however, the Red Ranger was able to distract the Green Play-Doh while the others fixed everything. Optimus accidentally ripped the birthday sign as he was cleaning it, but Rarity managed to patch it up as she and Optimus restored it to its signposts. Though Romeo was angered that his plan had failed, Rarity and the others still invited him to join the party.<ref>Play Doh Videos 🎉 PARTY with Peppa, PJ Masks, My Little Pony, Transformers Optimus Prime ⭐️ Play-Doh</ref>
Notes
[edit]- The Rarity who makes an unnamed cameo in Transformers vs. G.I. Joe is the My Little Pony G3 character of the same name. In Transformers terms, she's from a different continuity family as the G4 version of Rarity in the other fictional appearances listed above, but we've left her on this page for ease of reference.
- Rarity has been voiced by Tabitha St. Germain throughout the Friendship Is Magic era, while Cathy Weseluck voiced the aforementioned G3 incarnation.
