The Transformers, Springer's helicopter blades could fold up to form a light saber, according to his instructions and packaging bio.

This toy was reissued in 1991 as part of the European/Australian Classics line.

Notes

• While Springer being armed with a light saber is not particularly surprising given that The Transformers: The Movie was marketed as "conceived in the epic tradition of Star Wars", this seems like a particularly egregious bit of trademark baiting from Hasbro given that Lucasfilm are particularly protective over the lightsaber.
• The Dreamwave More than Meets the Eye writers sidestepped the issue entirely by replacing Springer's light saber with a more generic energy saber.
