Merlin's sarcophagus was hidden within the Guardian Knight's ship.

Seeking the Staff of Merlin, Cade Yeager and Viviane Wembly travelled to the submerged Knight ship and discovered Merlin's sarcophagus within a hidden chamber. Removing the sarcophagus' lid, the pair discovered Merlin's remains along with the staff.

Notes

• Merlin's sarcophagus bears the phrase "chan fhaod neach a thae" in Gaelic and "namine erit" in Latin on the lid.
• Pre-viz images of the sarcophagus include the as-yet-untranslated Cybertronian alphabet designed by Ben Procter.
• Actress Laura Haddock who portrays Viviane in the film kept one of the skulls from Merlin's sarcophagus.
