Saber-toothed cats are prehistoric predatory mammals named for their large, protruding canines. They are believed to have become extinct around 11,000 years ago.

Trapped in prehistoric California by a time-sphere, you were attempting to reach the cave containing the time-travelling aliens before the Decepticons Ravage and Laserbeak. As you made your way through the jungle, you encountered a saber-toothed cat and, if you were particularly unlucky, it ate you. Dinobot War

The Maximal Silverbolt and the Predacon Blackarachnia were united under an uneasy truce while separated from their allies and pursued by the renegade Tarantulas. When it became apparent that Tarantulas was no longer a threat, Blackarachnia prepared to break the truce by shooting Silverbolt in the back, but before she could fire she was attacked in turn by a saber-toothed cat.
