Hosney is a human from the live-action film continuity family.
"If you don't settle down, I'm bringing in the guy with the limp to be sarcastic at you."

Mr. Hosney is an 11th grade history teacher at Sam Witwicky's high school. He is strict, but possibly a bit of a soft touch.

Mr. Hosney called Sam up to present his genealogy report, and was quick to stress the importance of responsibility when Trent DeMarco flicked a rubber band at Sam. While Sam delivered the report, Hosney sat back and held up a "QUIET" sign at appropriate moments, such as when Sam said "seamen". He inquired acidly if Sam was going to sell his great grandfather's liver next, when his student started trying to hock the relics he'd brought along. As the bell went and the rest of his students started filing out, Hosney announced that there might be a pop-quiz the next day.

Then he slapped Sam with a B− grade. Sam, however, had his sights set on an A, to go with the other two As he already had, so he could get a car from his dad. After a bit of verbal arm twisting, Mr. Hosney was persuaded to lift Sam's grade to an A− (still an A though!), and Sam happily went off to pick out a new car. Transformers

Mr. Hosney's involvement in the preceding events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the novel "The Quest for the AllSpark."
