Hmmm. In all the adaptations, Starscream is the one that shoots down the Ark way back on Cybertron. But, yeah, I think the things that were pursuing it were the "fighters" that were piloted by protoforms. The Other Decepticon Fighter

What about the Decepticon ships that Sam, Carly, Epps, and company hid from? Before they jumped out the window (and alerted Shockwave), Carly alerted Epps and company of approaching Decepticon fighters. However, they were not Orbital Assault Carriers.
