Part of Takara Tomy's new SYNERGENEX line and celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the character, this retool of the Studio Series 1986 Grimlock figure was paired with a Mechagodzilla Kiryu themed redeco of the Legacy Laser Optimus Prime as an homage to the 2002 film Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
Notes

- Godzilla had his own Marvel Comics series in which he was hunted down by Dum Dum.
- Super-God Masterforce head writer Masumi Kaneda has stated that God Ginrai (ゴッドジンライ) was named so that omitting every other Japanese syllable yields the word Gojira (ゴジラ), the original Japanese name for Godzilla.
- Hojoni ("Kremzeek!") and Humungado ("The Attack of Humungado") are pastiches of Godzilla.
- Tri-Rex's roar sounds identical to Godzilla's.
- Cruellock's alt-mode is based on Godzilla's appearance in the 1998 film.
- Dalung Master's alt-mode is based on Godzilla.
- "The Champ" has Grimlock mimic Godzilla's infamous sliding tail-kick from Godzilla vs. Megalon.
- "The Big Operation to Help Santa!" also has Grimlock use his flame breath to propel himself through the air, in reference to an infamous scene from Godzilla vs. Hedorah.
- A G1 Shockwave figure in his alt-mode was used to portray Torema's laser gun in the 1997 short-form TV series Godzilla Island.
- Erik Aadahl provided the sound design for the titular creature's roar in the 2014 reboot.
