Somehow getting lost, the Seacons' photon sailer eventually ran low on energy and they were forced to land their ship in Gaia in search of more energy, with Scylla being sent out to scout. When the squid thought she found love in the form of Scuba, Halfshell threw an extravagant wedding by the photon sailer, with the Maximals and Seacons in attendance. After hijinks involving a love triangle involving Bighorn, Scuba, and Scylla, the Predacons attacked, hoping to destroy the Maximals. After they were turned away and Scylla gave her goodbyes to her suitors, the pirates left the planet on their ship. Realize the Forbidden Love!

- The Space Pirates from The Headmasters used a ship that looked very similar to the photon sailer, and functioned in a similar way.
