I-QUEUE goes over the Decepticon leaders aside from Megatron.

Synopsis

[edit]

Almost every Cybertron, I-QUEUE notes, knows the name of Megatron, the most fearsome Decepticon leader. But he is not the only one; there are those who have come before and those who have come after. He proceeds to quiz you on some of these leaders:

1. This Decepticon was originally a mindless transtector, controlled by the humans Giga and Mega. Eventually, he was granted his own sentience, continuing his reign of destruction in the name of the Decepticons. Who is he? A. Galvatron B. Megastar C. Overlord. D. Doubledealer

2. Self-proclaimed Decepticon God, this energy being was the true master of the Decepticon transtectors and Pretenders on Earth. Who is he? A. Black Ball B. Devil Z C. Anti-Spark D. Majin Zarak

3. This Decepticon spread chaos and despair thousands of years before he ascended to leader of the Decepticons. However, his plundering might have had a more noble reason behind it than he let on. Who is he? A. Deathsaurus B. Gigatron C. Black Shadow D. Bloodron

4. This Decepticon was one of Megatron's main rivals on Cybertron, and plotted to conquer Earth in a ruthless power grab. After his defeat, he patiently waited until he could return in a clone body of Megatron's, ready to seize leadership once more. Who is he? A. Jhiaxus B. Nexus c. Praxus D. Straxus

5. Appearing around the time of the Second Generation of the Transformers on Earth, this Decepticon terrorized the skies with his squadron of Predators. Who is he? A. Shadowcaster B. Windripper C. Thunderclap D. Skyquake

I-QUEUE reviews another seemingly supernatural Decepticon leader: Violen Jiger. The strange Decepticon is composed of the sparks of defeated and slain Decepticons, amalgamated into a single destructive entity. Seeking revenge on the Autobots, Violen Jiger gathered his Nine Great Demon Generals-Abominus, BlackZarak, Bruticus, Devastator, King Poseidon, Menasor, Overlord, and Trypticon. These Decepticons ran a near unstoppable campaign of destruction, with even Autobot leader Star Saber falling before them. Only the Autobot Powered Masters, combined as Big Powered and with the power of the Zodiac, proved able to stop Violen Jiger once and for all.

Notes

[edit]
  • This is the final installment of Transformers I.Q.

Transformers references

[edit]
  • C is the correct answer for question one, as seen in the Super-God Masterforce anime; the Megastar was the Predacon's ship from the 2001 Robots in Disguise cartoon, while Doubledealer was a Powermaster who had both Autobot and Decepticon forms. The question is illustrated with a screencap of Overlord from Masterforce episode "Super Ginrai Gets Blown Away in the Desert!?"
  • B is the correct answer for question two, again from the Masterforce anime. The Black Ball was an alias assumed by Unicron in the Beast Wars Neo comic; in the Prime cartoon, Unicron was shown to have an Anti-Spark. Majin Zarak, meanwhile, was a monster from the theatrical Beast Wars II special, "Lio Convoy in Imminent Danger!". The question is illustrated with a screencap of Devil Z from Masterforce episode "Terror! The Decepticons' Manhunt".
  • A is the correct answer for question three, as seen in the Victory anime; the "more noble" reasons refers to the Victory manga, where it was revealed that everything Deathsaurus did was to protect the Decepticon's families. Gigatron is Robots in Disguise Megatron's Japanese name; Black Shadow is a Crossformer from Victory; and Bloodron was one of the Decepticons honored in the Hall of Heroes from The Transformers: The Movie. The question is illustrated with a screencap of Deathsaurus' corpse from Victory episode "Showdown! The Fortress vs the Victory Unification".
  • D is the correct answer for question four; aside from his role in the US Marvel The Transformers comic, the question also summarizes Straxus' role in the UK Marvel comic. Jhiaxus was the main antagonist of the Marvel Generation 2 comic. The question is illustrated with Straxus preparing to execute prisoners from The Transformers issue #17 (pencils by Don Perlin, inks by Keith Williams, colors by Nelson Yomtov).
  • D is the correct answer for question five; Skyquake and the Predators were among the European-exclusive Transformers toys from the early 90's. Shadowcaster was seen in "The Coming Storm: Part 3", created as a stand-in for Fearswoop; Thunderclap was one of the Dread Pirate Crew members seen in the Tornado - Decepticon Saboteur Facebook page. The question is illustrated with Skyquake's boxart.
  • Violen Jiger was the main antagonist of the Zone franchise. The question is illustrated with screencaps of him and his Nine Great Demon Generals from Zone OVA, and pages from the Zone story pages, including Violen Jiger in his three insect modes, and him fighting the Powered Masters (art by Ban Magami.)
