Storm Jet is an Autobot Aerialbot from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2003 Universe toyline).

Not a jet, and avoids launching during storms.

Storm Jet is a member of the Micromaster Aerialbots, who combine into Superion.

In Aurex 1104.30-DB Zeta, the Micromaster Aerialbots were born from Dr. Brian Jones's attempts at reverse-engineering Maximus combiner technology and applying it to Mini-Con anatomy. Universe Storm Jet is a redeco of the Operation Combination Sixwing component Raker, transforming into a Space Shuttle Orbiter. He forms the right arm of the Aerialbots' combined mode Superion.

The toy's larger connector socket is approximately 5 mm wide, making Storm Jet compatible with Powerlinx ports.

Though the Micromaster Aerialbots were created as KB Toys exclusives, they barely showed up in the ever-shrinking chain. They saw more general release in Europe, and in the US eventually showed up at other chains like CVS drug stores and Big Lots!.

Storm Jet was released at general retail in some European markets under the Cybertron line. Besides the altered packaging, there are no changes to the toy itself.

Notes

• The presence of "Storm Jet" in a team almost entirely recycling Generation 1 Aerialbot names indicates that "Storm Jet" was chosen as a trademark-friendly replacement for "Slingshot", though Storm Jet's alternate mode is different.
