Talk:Transformers: Energon (mini-comic)
From MediaWiki
Wasn't Volume 3 adapted into a story in the Dreamwave summer special (written by Furman, story idea by Aaron Archer)? Quite similar, Slugslinger and Sharkticon attempting to sneak into somewhere and failing miserably, Snow Car trying to sneak into Omega Supreme's facility.
Also, wasn't Volume 4 just a translated version of the mini-comic that came with the Superlink release of Wing Saber?
I believe the mini-comics were credited (at least the Armada ones were), so I suggest crediting the artists and writers involved. - FFN
- Re: volume 4, that could very well be. The art style is definitely different from Vols. 1 and 3, and... yeah, reading again? It is almost certainly a translation. "You're flying? Optimus can't fly! What is happening?"
- Volume 3 is similar to the DW summer special story, but I don't know if there's a confirmed, explicit connection there or not.
- And, there are no credits on any of the ones I've got. The cover of Volume 3 includes a artist signature of "Erik Ai", whatever that means. Part of it's covered up by the "Volume 3" title. -- Repowers 01:13, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Volume 4 is definately Superlink Wing Saber's mini-comic, given the art style, the colouring, the speech bubbles, the stilted-dialogue, the 'stock footage, catchphrase!" action.
- What was Volume 2? I can't even remember a volume 2. (probably due to Dreamwave's woes in 2004), I recall the Energon comics were really sporadic in updates to reflect new toys. --FFN
- Volume 2 was this --KilMichaelMcC 01:26, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
