"Sam's New Car" is a children's picture book that re-tells part of the 2007 live-action movie.
Synopsis
[edit]
After earning himself an "A-" in history class, Sam is taken by his father to a used car lot to buy his very first car. However, the beat-up Camaro he purchases drives off that very night. Believing that someone is attempting to steal his ride, Sam follows the car on his bike. The car arrives to a clearing, where it assumes a humanoid shape and projects a signal in the shape of a red face into the sky. Sam is then confronted by two savage-looking guard dogs, but his car, once more in its normal shape, chases them off. The next morning Sam tries to go see his friend Miles, but his semmingly possessed car follows him. Sam runs into a police car, who transforms into a giant robot! The robot threatens Sam, only for his Camaro to rescue him once more. The two drive away, and meet up with Optimus Prime and other Autobots, who inform him that his car is Bumblebee, another alien from the planet Cybertron. Sam's adventure is only just beginning!
