Netflix is a United States-based multinational home entertainment company. While beginning solely as a mail-order DVD rental service in the United States, it primarily operates as an online video streaming service featuring films and television series available in numerous countries across the globe. Netflix also hosts its own original content not found on any other network or service, including the War for Cybertron Trilogy and BotBots animated series.

In 2012, Hasbro Studios signed a 10-year deal with Netflix allowing series from the Hasbro library to be included on Netflix's online streaming service.<ref>Netflix signs multi-year deal with Hasbro -- and knowing is half the battle</ref> In addition to legacy content, programs from The Hub/Discovery Family were included in the deal, with episodes premiering on the service after their broadcast seasons have ended. While multiple Transformers series were added to the service as a result of this, half of them were delisted in 2015, while the other half were reduced to only their first seasons in 2018. This deal expired in February 2022, leading to nearly every Transformers cartoon being delisted from the service over the following year in most regions, save for the United States. Pursuant to Netflix's deal with pay channel [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Epix (TV channel)|{{#if:Epix|Epix|Epix (TV channel)}}]], films from the Paramount Pictures library were made available on the service several months after their original cable broadcast, though subsequent films like Rise of the Beasts now skip Netflix entirely and go straight to Paramount+, only coming to Netflix much later.

In addition to video streaming, Netflix also has a presence in the mobile gaming space, with several mobile game releases that can only be played by those with an active Netflix subscription.

Currently, Netflix's streaming service is almost available worldwide, but their available catalog varies significantly from region to region (with the exception of Netflix originals, which are generally available in all regions), and content is constantly phased in and out depending on distribution agreements with the original rights holders. As a result, the lists below may be out of date at the time you're reading this, and are frequently subject to change:

Notes

  • Notably, other services that carry Prime, Rescue Bots or Robots in Disguise (such as Tubi or Roku) are missing their first seasons, presumably due to Netflix locking up exclusivity as a result of the aforementioned deal with Hasbro.
  • Shortly after the launch of War for Cybertron Trilogy, Netflix added eight characters from the series as selectable profile icons, including Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Elita-1, Jetfire, Starscream, Ultra Magnus, and Shockwave.
  • In 2022, Scanline, a visual effects studio who worked on the Live-action film series, would be purchased by Netflix. While becoming the service's in-house effects studio, the deal between the two parties still has Scanline remain an independent company and free to work for other producers, similar to Industrial Light & Magic's deal with Disney.
