Japan Self-Defense Forces

The Japan Self-Defense Forces (自衛隊 Jieitai, often abbreviated JSDF in English) are the military of Japan.

It is divided into the following service branches:

• Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF)
• Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF)
• Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF)

Minerva was a major in the "Japanese Self Defense Core" [sic] at the end of the Transformers' war on Earth. To prepare for their possible return, the Core participated in gathering Transformer debris from across the globe, and Project: Transtector was initiated with Transformer-like battle armor suits assembled from their findings. The JSDF salvaged several Tankor Drones and Black Convoy Mass Production Type Drones, which extradimensional recruit Major Clouder deployed to defend Tokyo against Trypticon, Decepticon Civil War but their firepower failed to even scratch the giant. Bonus Edition Vol. 43
