Jointron II (ジョイントロンII Jointoron Sekando) is a giant robot who, contrary to the Jointrons, has a gloomy view on life. He actually is Lio Convoy and his Maximals in disguise.

Jointron II appeared to save the Jointrons from the energy-draining bacteria developed by Starscream and deployed by BB. Jointron II showed his gloomy outlook by talking about how unforeseeable is the world economy, until Starscream got fed of the nonsense and ordered BB to shoot the bacteria on him. The Bacteria didn't affect Jointron II, who told the Jointrons that working together they could share their energy while throwing BB away. Starscream recognized Jointron II's preachy speech and shot it apart, revealing the Maximals. A Fearsome Combination Plan?
