Jointron II (ジョイントロンII Jointoron Sekando) is a giant robot who, contrary to the Jointrons, has a gloomy view on life. He actually is Lio Convoy and his Maximals in disguise.

Jointron II saved the Jointrons from the energy-draining bacteria developed by Starscream and deployed by BB. Jointron II showed his gloomy outlook by talking about how unforeseeable the world economy was until Starscream got fed up with the nonsense and ordered BB to pelt him with the bacteria. The bacteria didn't affect Jointron II, who told the Jointrons that by working together they could share their energy while casually throwing BB away. Starscream recognized Jointron II's preachy speech and shot it apart, revealing the Maximals. A Fearsome Combination Plan?
