The protoplasm stripper is a cylindrical device meant for separating the worthwhile parts of organic creatures from the rest. Evidently, it's something you'll see the Decepticons use a lot more than the Autobots. The only version shown so far was designed for humans of the size range as seen on Earth, but it's likely versions for other sizes exist as well.

Most of the protoplasm stripper is made of diaphanous material so its user can keep an eye on the disassembly process.

Megatron, impressed with Sidney Biggles-Jones's inventive mind, wished to take the doctor to Cybertron with him. Not all of her, of course, just the parts that were of interest to him. To get the trivial flesh off of her brain and central nervous system, he picked up a protoplasm stripper from his base. To Megatron's surprise though, Biggles-Jones didn't like the idea of "corporeal change" and refused to be put into the device. Sucker Punch The Autobots arrived before Megatron could work it out with the doctor and it took a while before he could try again. The second time was also interrupted by the Autobots, and then, Megatron even lost his protoplasm stripper. Though in the end, he considered that maybe, maybe the doctor was worth more whole and that he didn't have to fetch another protoplasm stripper. Final Transformations
