- Strafe is an Autobot Cyberjet from the Japanese G-2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Autobot Cyberjet known as Strafe (ストレイフ Sutoreifu) was at one point a Decepticon Cyberjet. However, over time, he began to sympathize with the Autobots and, along with Jetfire and Aero Raid, switched sides. His betrayal of the Decepticons has earned him the eternal scorn of the remaining Decepticon Cyberjets.
Strafe can be a little condescending at times, willing to give his fellow Autobots an earful of lecture even in the midst of a heated battle.

[edit]Strafe was once a member of the Decepticon Cyberjets. However, years of fighting began to wear on him and alter his views about the war. He eventually switched sides to the Autobots, along with Jetfire and Aero Raid. Unfortunately, three Decepticon Cyberjets chose to stay behind. Viewing him as a traitor, they swore vengeance. Volt, having bested Jolt and Sizzle by himself, ran seriously low on energy and was cornered by Megatron and Hooligan. Things looked grim for Volt until Strafe arrived as back-up. Strafe decked Megatron square in the jaw while chiding Volt for dragging his fellow Autobots into a fight, and warning that they were now up against Megatron. Volt was left unsure whether to be pleased that Strafe saved his life, or ticked that Strafe was being so snotty. G-2 #15

- Takara's G-2 Cyberjet Aero Raid is mostly identical to the Hasbro Genration 2 Strafe: the one change is the lack of Decepticon insignia stickers on his rear stabilizers. A redeco of the Decepticon Space Case, he transforms into a fighter jet resembling a Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut. His right arm features an attached claw that launches missiles using a pressure-launch mechanism. These missiles can be stored in his vehicle-mode thanks to simple clips on the undersides of each wing.
- Unique to the Takara release is an extra decal sheet, giving you some customization options, including "battle damage" markings.
