Iron-on patches were a hot promotional item in the 1980s, used to help advertise and cross-promote Transformers.

Generation 1

1985

  • An iron-on patch was included with the S.T.A.R.S. membership kit.

1986

  • A series of iron-on patches were issued as game pieces for a contest, and packaged with various Mini Vehicles. The patches featured shaded line-art versions of package art for various characters, including Blitzwing, Devastator, Inferno, Omega Supreme, Slag, Smokescreen, Snarl, Soundwave, Superion, and Ultra Magnus.
