Kōichi Yamadera (山寺 宏一 Yamadera Kōichi, born June 17, 1961) is a Japanese voice actor. He's best known for his roles as Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Beerus from Dragon Ball Super, The Laughing Man & Togusa from Ghost in the Shell, Ryoji Kaji from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cheese from Anpanman, Jubei Kibagami from Ninja Scroll, and Ryōga Hibiki/P-chan from Ranma ½.

In terms of dubbing, he is the official Japanese voice of Donald Duck, as well as Genie from Aladdin, Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, and many more Disney characters. While other roles consisted of Cyclops from TV Tokyo's dub of X-Men, Plucky Duck from Tiny Toons Adventures, Batman & Lord/President Business from The LEGO Movie as well Batman solely in The LEGO Batman Movie, Leon Kompowsky from The Simpsons, Manny from Ice Age, the Mighty Eagle from The Angry Birds Movie, Fender from Robots, Michael Jordan from Space Jam, the eponymous hero of Wreck-It Ralph, Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, the opening Narrator of Batman: The Animated Series and Spongebob Squarepants among other roles.

  • Yamadera was specifically cast to dub over a Eddie Murphy voice clip used in Age of Extinction as he is the official dub voice of Murphy. Time will tell if one day he gains a more substantial role in the Transformers franchise.
